Builders	Builders – Crown Corp Custodian: Tom Shafer	The Crown collection contains detailed documents from the Crown Corp, including Sales and Build data. This collection also includes the the collections of company photographs from Dick Whittington and Warren Bowen.

Misc	Biographies / People Custodian: Eli (for now)	This collection is new. It is intended to be where we file anything about specific people. These could be PBM people, carrier/operator people, etc.
Misc	Bus Models / Toys Custodian: THIS NEEDS AN OWNER	All the models spread around the building…
Misc	Flat / Oversized	This is not really a “collection” per se… but we do want to be able to note which things are stored in the oversized section…
Misc	Government / Military	PUC stuff, Military vehicles, etc.
Misc	Other Museums / Entities / Restored Buses	The place to file things related to other collectors, museums, etc. This would include is any information we collect on exiting restored buses…. Maybe even survivors that have not been restored.
Misc	Union / Labor Relations	There could be some interesting historic information here, but it’s not fully digested. This could include historic labor negotiations and agreements.

Object / Things	Artifacts / Objects/ Things Custodian: THIS NEEDS AN OWNER	Everything from hat pins, belt buckles to large bus models… These are things that are not CURRENTLY for sale. They are museum display/archive pieces. (Some of these things may be selected for “sale” later, but for now they are being collected as part of the PBM “permanent” collection.)

Operators	Carriers – Current Operators Custodian: Chance Von B.	Records related to current operations are upstairs. This would include carriers like SF MUNI, AC Transit, SAMTRANS, VTA, etc. The archives have lots of information including time tables, route maps, etc.

Operators	Carriers – Historic Common Carrier Operations Custodian: Eli Bail	Reborn in 2024 out of the Robert Burrowes Operators Files. These are the PUC Regulated entities that formed the backbone of the motorbus industry. This includes many of the predecessors of current operations. Market Street Railroad vs. SF MTA (MUNI). Key System vs. BART.
Operators	Carriers – Private Industry Civilian Operators	These operators do not provide public transport. Instead, they are the private carriers for corporations and industry to transport their own people. Today, these would be things like the Google commuter buses. Historically these would include things like the Atomic Energy Commission.

PBM	PBM Business	Documents related to internal PBM Business… Fleet bus stuff, etc.
Photos	Photographs / Negatives / Slides Custodian: THIS NEEDS AN OWNER	This includes large (8×10) photos and smaller snapshots… These are not currently managed as a single collection… They are spread among other archives.
Tech Manuals	Shop Manuals / Parts Books / Driver Training Custodian: TBD (Louk Markham?)	All the books that help mechanics and drivers maintain and operate their machines…
Uncatalogued	~Purgatory – To Be Cataloged	New/Unknown/Unorganized/Unfilled stuff. (The name “purgatory” was borrowed from the AACA [Antique Automobile Club of America] Library in Hershey, PA.)
Upstairs Archive	Carrier Routes, Maps, Timetables Custodian: Chance Von B.	This is meant to encapsulate all the current operator stuff upstairs… This might end up being multiple things.
