This 1986 MCI 102-A-3 coach actually started out as a shell that was converted to a personal RV for the Hoffman family, owners of Hoffman Custom Coaches of Clarendon, PA.
According to son Jeff Hoffman, who was 19 at the time, his parents bought the coach directly from MCI, converted it, and used it as their own for about 2 years.
In 1988, Tammy Wynette called and told them that her coach had been destroyed in a fire, and that she needed a new one as soon as possible.
The Hoffmans then sold her this 1986 coach and personalized it for her as an entertainer coach.
Tammy used it from 1988 until she died on April 6, 1998.
This coach has a great story and is a unique MCI that was not converted later in life. It started out as a custom private coach.
In 2007 Donald & Grace purchased this coach from Tammy Wynette’s Tennessee estate via Paul Richie. They used this bus until Donald passed away in 2014. After it had been sitting for a 4 years, Larry and Dannette Larsh purchased it in 2018.
The current owners, Larry and Dannette Larsh, repaired it and preserved it in memory of the legendary Tammy Wynette.
