Loring C. Jensen
Born July 6, 1931-Died May 25, 2003
Loring passed away on Sunday May 25, 2003 from cancer. Loring was a native Californian having been born and raised in San Francisco, He graduated from the University of San Francisco with degree in Business Administration. Loring served in the U. S. Army attaining the rank of Lieutenant. Loring worked for many years for The Emporium in San Francisco as a Sales Manager.
He enjoyed traveling and liked to visit museums throughout the world. Loring was very active in the Bay Area Electric Railway Museum at Rio Vista Junction and was their past president. Loring was also very active with the Pacific Bus Museum serving on the Board of Directors a position he held at the time of his death.
Loring had many friends. He was generous to a fault and could always be counted on to help rais money for projects both at Rio Vista Junction and the Pacific Bus Museum. Loring will be missed by all those who had the opportunity to meet him and become his friend. May he rest in peace.

PBM Invited to Western Railway Museum
PBM Board member, Loring Jensen, who is also chairman of the Bay Area Electric Railway Assn., has invited all PBM members to the association’s Western Railway Museum at Rio Vista Junction, CA for BAERA Members Day, Saturday, September 8, 2001. The occasion is significant this year with the opening of Cameron Hall, their new Visitors Center. PBM members will be able to ride the museum’s streetcars and trains operating that day and will be invited to a picnic lunch on the grounds. The PBM will help celebrate the event by displaying a vintage bus at that day (volunteers needed to staff the PBM’s table). This occasion will be a good opportunity for members of both organizations enjoy many vintage forms of transportation. Call the hotline— if you plan to attend.
