This Crown A -779 -11 Supercoach was powered by a 779 cu.in. Hall Scott gasoline engine and was built in 1952 as #4 for Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos, CA. In 1970 it was repowered with a 220 Cummins diesel. Los Gatos #4 was sold in 1973 to St. Francis High School in Mountain View, CA and renumbered as St. Francis High School #3. PBM member Tom Shafer bought the bus in 2001 after it was retired. He donated it to the PBM in 2003.
Crown Coach Corporation was a manufacturer of heavy-duty integral school buses. Crowns were built in Los Angeles, CA and used by many school districts throughout the western U.S. The basic design of this model was used from 1948 to 1991. Crown of also built many special purpose buses including glass top sightseers and combo coaches. They ceased production in 1991.

#4 is operable and in good mechanical condition with the body and interior in good physical condition. Crossover lights have been repaired.
