Bay Rapid Transit 80

Originally delivered new to Tacoma Transit Company in 1948 as #86 and part of an order of 13 buses numbered 81 to 93. #86 was later sold to Bremerton-Charleston Bus Company in Washington state where it was still running in daily service in 1983 when it was acquired by Monterey Salinas Transit.

Restoration of this bus by the MST Maintenance Department was begun after the bus arrived in Monterey and completed in September of 1983. Bus#80 was used in special community service, parades and as a mobile marketing center. Bus 80 was donated to the PBM by Monterey Salinas Transit in September 2017.

Length: 29 ft. 2 1/2 in. Width: 8 ft.

Current Status

80 is operable and in good mechanical condition.
