San Francisco Municipal Railway 0325

Click for larger imageBus 0325 was part of a group of White model 798s acquired by the San Francisco Municipal Railway in 1948. Sold to an equipment broker in 1960 Bus 0325 and 7 other SF Muni Whites were moved to Clear Lake, CA several years later where they remained until the PBM acquired all 8 of them in 2006. 0325 was considered the best of the lot and was chosen as bus the PBM intends to restore.

Powertrain: 12-cylinder gasoline "pancake" engine mounted mid-ship underfloor with a White "Hydrotorque" automatic transmission.

Body: Aluminum and Steel Seats: 44 passengers, transit seating

Current Status

0325 is currently stored in Williams, Ca awaiting complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration.
